Who is UND Aerospace?
UND Aerospace is an international leader in collegiate and contract aviation education, and is one of the largest flight schools in the world. Located at the University of North Dakotas John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences, UND Aerospace offers a wide range of Aviation-related programs. With more than 2,000 students from throughout the world, the Odegard School is the second largest college at the University of North Dakota.
Undergraduate and graduate programs in aerospace are offered through five different academic departments: aviation, atmospheric sciences, computer science, space studies, and earth system science & policy. The UND Aerospace training complex is the most technologically advanced environment for aerospace education, training and research in the world.
About our Helicopter Flight Training Program
Included in its fleet of 120 aircraft, UND Aerospace Flight Operations has 7 helicopters (five H300's & two B206 BIII) and a Frasca 342 Flight Training Device. Helicopter training is available to students for college credit, replacing the airplane course requirements in each of the four-year degree options available at UND. UND Aerospace conducts contract flight training in helicopters outside of its college degree programs. This training is available in an on-demand basis, and details of costs and program requirements are based upon the needs of the contracting institution. For more information contact Chuck Pineo.
