Interactive Training

Excellence in computer-based training

UND Aerospace is on the forefront of aviation technology, having developed world-class software systems for the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences, the United States Air Force, and some of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers. These systems provide the tools necessary to educate the top aviation students in the world.

Learning via Flash-based training systems

Online Computer Based Training (CBT) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) are a crucial part of the training programs at UND. UND Aerospace develops CBT training for both internal and external organizations.

UND Aerospace develops interactive training content for the United States Air Force MQ-1 and MQ-9 training programs, including a virtual ground control station for laptop deployment. The virtual ground control station provides structured and free-play procedural training in a SCORM compliant training environment, with detailed tracking and performance evaluation metrics recorded in a Learning Management System. Simulated systems include a Predator menu configuration, as well as systems and sensor operation. Through the virtual ground control station, instructors can supervise training by receiving instant training progress from a Learning Management System while students practice operational procedures both inside and outside the classroom.

UND Aerospace also develops other training products, including trainers for the Cessna 172, Cessna Caravan, Piper Arrow, and Piper Seminole, a multi-engine trainer.
