Ryan Hall
Ryan Hall is home to UND's flight simulators, the Air Traffic
Control program, the UND Aerospace Foundation, and the AeroSpace Network (ASN). In addition, Ryan hall also houses flight briefing
rooms and classrooms.
Specialized Areas
- Two Flight Training Device rooms house the Department of Aviation's general aviation
single-engine, multi-engine, and helicopter flight training devices.
- A large ATC sim room houses the Air Traffic Control program's ATC simulators running
the ATC-2000 Virtual Controller, a full Air Traffic Control Training System developed
by our own Scientific Computing Center.
- An interactive classroom and satellite uplink system allows ASN to broadcast live,
interactive courses around the country. ASN also utilizes a full video production
facility complete with advanced video edit capabilities and an on-site television
studio.
- A Computer Based Instruction (CBI) Lab provides interactive multimedia courseware
on a variety of aviation topics and aircraft. The adjacent FAA Test Center is an
authorized ProMetric computerized testing center.
- The south wing of the building is home to the UND Aerospace Foundation faculty members,
administrators, and support staff.
