High Altitude Hypoxia Training
Our two–day aviation physiology course is designed for corporate and commercial pilots, but meets the needs of any aviator. The training utilizes our High Altitude Chamber to simulate (at up 25,000 feet) scenarios related to hypoxia symptoms, smoke/toxic fumes, rapid cabin decompression, spacial disorientation, and human factors.
CRJ–200 Level–6 FTD
UND Aerospace's CRJ–200 FTD offers an integrated training environment for low–time pilots transitioning into a modern, glass–cockpit regional jet aircraft. Our Level–6 FTD provides approximately 65% of the training credits as defined in the Practical Test Standards required for a type–rating. Most importantly, the experience you gain from our Canadair Regional Jet simulator provides for a smoother transition to the flight operations of a regional airline.
Aircraft Accident Investigation Course
Our 2 ½ day course is offered in cooperation with the Airline Pilots Association (ALPA). This course offers "hands–on" experience, providing participants experience analyzing and documenting a re–created aircraft accident. Participants will be exposed to the same investigative groups used by the National Safety Transportation Board (NTSB) and major airlines. Groups include: Air Traffic Controll (ATC), Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR), Maintenance Records, Airline Operations, Aircraft Structures and Survival Factors
Course dates for 2008 are: June 10, 11, and 12 & October 7, 8, and 9
Video Production
Aerospace Network (ASN) is a support division of the Odegard School at The University of North Dakota. Aerospace Network is a unique, full–service broadcast and multimedia production facility. Facilities include a 1,200 square foot television production studio with fully equipped control rooms and lighting options to fit a multitude of studio production applications. A fully equipped video classroom and broadcast ready auditorium for larger in–house audiences round out the core of our physical production facilities. ASN also offers field video and audio production services along with two non–linear edit suites featuring Imix Stratosphere. Bolstered by a growing stock footage library and networked graphic support ASN production services can create the perfect fit for your video production needs.
