Turns Around a Point
The objective of practicing turns around a point is to develop the pilot's division
of attention between the flight path and ground references and recognition of drift
toward or away from a prominent ground reference point while maintaining a constant
altitude. This maneuver requires flying the plane in two or more circles around
a uniform radius from a prominent ground reference point.
